Back from dinner with Pat

22.42
Back from dinner with Pat & Trey chez Wallace & Margie. Most enjoyable. The resident kitchen team of Pomeroy & Wallace are exceptional: were they to establish an English Tea Rooms in Belle Meade it would attract my loyal custom.

Before Pat & Trey arrived, Ian played me two songs from his developing solo album. Very exciting, and not what I would have anticipated, featuring a singing Wallace. "Dogma", a slow & slinky rock groove, would have been a classic of the Mel, Boz & Ian band. "Castaway" less obviously so. This ballad, where you think you know the genre, slides up to you in 6+5/4. These two pieces are part of the emerging sonic autobiography of Ian Wallace.

A good day's rehearsal and incremental movements forward.

Our touring plans have changed for the Summer: a member of Les Claypool's band is also working with the (generous & lovely) Bob Weir, and is unavailable for our prospective joint dates in June. So, David Singleton at Discipline Global Management is consulting with Steve Martin at The Agency to revibrate our calendar.

Also from DGM World Central: David has been having conversations with several of the early team, and/or their management, to find a way of TCOB in a straightforward manner that supports the interests of all the parties.
